High Voltage Dance Company Agreement for the 2026 – 2027 Dance Season
- All fees must be paid by the due date.
- Placement of all team members will be left to the discretion of the instructors.
- Team members must wear the proper designated dance attire to all of their classes.
- Every team member is expected to practice outside of scheduled class times. A team member who falls behind
due to a lack of practice will be dismissed from the company. - Team members are always expected to be on time. Please arrive 15 minutes early for proper preparation.
- Any team member with an unhealthy attitude towards their fellow team members or instructors will be given
strikes or dismissed from the company. - Students must receive permission from the studio manager (Miss Angie) or studio director (Miss Jen) to use
classrooms for rehearsal times. - All team members must be enrolled in their required technique classes. Should a dancer miss their required tech
class for any reason, it must be made up within a month of the missed lesson (prior makeups to the missed dates
are acceptable) or a strike will be given. See #14 for more on tech strikes. - Team Members are required to attend all company lessons. If a member is absent due to a reason beyond their
control, they must have a fill-in that day, and it is their responsibility to
learn/know what they missed before returning to class. - A team member who knows ahead of time that they will be absent must present a note to their instructor, via
Miss Angie, in advance. They must also have a fill-in for choreography and formations. - Team members who are ill or injured should present a note from a doctor or parent (via Miss Angie) in order to
be excused from performing in class. The student is still expected to attend class and learn by sitting and taking
notes, as long as they are not contagious. - As performances come closer, extra rehearsal times are often necessary. These are required rehearsals in
which all team members must attend. Be sure to keep the week prior to all competitions free for any additional
rehearsals. - Competition and/or travel days for competition could include Thursday and Friday during school hours.
- STRIKES Tech Classes: If a dancer misses a technique class for any reason, it must be made up in another
technique class within a one month time period, prior makeups to the missed dates are acceptable. (See current
class schedule on website for all available tech classes. Permission to attend higher level tech classes must be
received from the instructor, vis Miss Angie, prior to make up). The dancer will receive one strike if the class is not
made up on time. Said strike will be removed once the tech class is made up. - Any absence (non medical or emergency) the month prior to competition will result in a strike unless relayed to
the studio manager (Miss Angie) at least 30 days prior to the absence. This gives the instructor time to reschedule
any much needed rehearsal time. - If a dancer has three strikes against them a month prior to a competition (attendance or behavioral) they may
be put on probation and made an alternate for the company which means they could not compete. This also
means that they may be pulled out of formations until the classes are made up. Readmittance will be given once
the strike is removed and there is enough time to make the adjustment in class prior to the next competition. - If for any reason a dancer is unable to attend a competition, readmittance is only allowed for the next
competition if there is enough time to make the adjustment in class prior to the next competition. - Parents must honor the rules of the studio. Any disrespect towards students, faculty, or the studio can result in
their child’s immediate dismissal from the team and the studio. - Any team member not in compliance with company requirements will be dismissed from the High Voltage
Dance Company - No refunds will be given if a member is dismissed.
- Questions, concerns, and complaints must be addressed to the studio manager (Miss Angie
via angie@daryljervisdance.com) or studio director (Miss Jen via daryljervisdance@gmail.com), not through
other parents or the students. The instructors, studio manager, and studio director deeply care for all students
and how their dance experience plays out, we must be made aware of any issues to properly provide a remedy
as soon as possible. - Have fun and enjoy the moment!
